Kerry and Norman the baby cow

One of our best anniversary trips! We popped up to Monachyle Mhor for a couple of nights and were blessed with sunshine the whole time.

Sunrise over Loch Voil

We woke up and decided to go down to the loch to see the sunrise. The water was so calm it was like glass; eerie but beautiful.

Having no plans, meant we got to play in the lochs a few times, which Rudi obviously loved, but Kerry did too!

Beautiful Baby Norman

After breakfast on the second day we met Norman, Monachyle’s 2-month old Highland Cow. He’s so friendly, so Kerry got loads of cuddles and selfies.

The Hidden Glen

Kerry ran the Hidden Glen 10k in April so it was interesting to walk up the same route she took to see what Mat was missing. Wasn’t as steep as she remembered it though…

After the not-so-gruelling walk up the glen, we went back to Monachyle for an anniversary bottle of Gusbourne in the sun.

Swimming in Loch Doine

The sun was still out for our last evening at Monachyle, so took a walk down to the smaller loch, had a swim, a play and generally got a bit wet while watching the sunset.

And we finished as we started, with a drink in the bar, by the fire.
